Ringgold County Conference Board is the Board which governs the Ringgold County Assessor's office. It is composed of the 3 blocks of members with each block having 1 vote. The blocks are the county supervisors, the mayors in the county and a representative from each school board whose district is at least partially in Ringgold County, as long as the school board member resides in Ringgold County. The Chairman of the County Board of Supervisors is the Chairman of the Conference Board. The Conference board will normally meet twice a year. Once in January to set the budget and review performance of the office and again for final approval of the budget normally after the required public hearing on the published hearing. This must be done before March 15. The conference board can also meet at any other time needed. All meetings are subject to open meeting laws with closed sessions possible on personell issues as the law prescibes.
