MAPLELEAF PATHWAY is located immediately east of the Diagonal community. The name originates from the Chicago Northwestern Railroad system that formed an outline of a maple leaf on the rail map.
This property runs north to a small creek and has many lowland timber trees that can be found along it. There is a very nice stand of buckeye trees, many oaks, cottonwood and maples that shade the cinder trail. Berry picking is a favorite activity for walkers.
