DON & CONNIE HUFF WILDLIFE AREA is the most recent addition to the Conservation Board system. It is a 298 acre site that was acquired with Habitat Stamp funds and has no development other than a small parking area. The area is utilized for wildlife purposes and is open to public hunting during all regulated hunting seasons It is located at the upper end of Liberty Township and is predominately a grassland area with limited agricultural practices upon it. On occasion, Greater Prairie Chickens can be seen and bobolinks are nesting here often. The area is well suited for upland hunting and deer.
